Hogwarts Legacy features Quidditch after all, but fans aren't happy

It is something, at least.

Hogwarts Legacy, beset with continual controversies, is one of the most anticipated games of the year and fans are awaiting it with bated breath. However, the unfortunate omission of Quidditch has miffed a few, but a leak seems to suggest that there is a sort of a nod to the sport in the final game.

It is unquestionably odd that Hogwarts Legacy doesn't feature Quidditch as it is so central in the Harry Potter series. Avalanche Software confirmed that there is broom flight that enables the playable protagonist to travel across what might be a ginormous map of the grounds and it's possible that this could come in DLC. Though it is slightly amusing to think that this is a sticking point for some while the RPG is quelling the effect of the transphobic opinions of author J. K. Rowling on its potential success. Only the other week were gamers dragging down the game's Steam listing with user-assigned tags like "villain protagonist," "NSFW," and "psychological horror."

Check out the introduction of Hogwarts Headmaster Phineas Nigellus Black, played by Simon Pegg, below:

A leak, arising from scans of an artbook and someone on social media named Bigby, revealed a lot about Hogwarts Legacy like the game's length, side quests, different house storylines and how to unlock the Killing Curse. It also offered a screenshot of an in-game inventory screen with a player wearing a Ravenclaw Quidditch uniform, seemingly showing the ability to mix and match different parts of the witch or wizard's outfit. So, if you felt so inclined, you could represent every single house with your uniform though it would be an affront to fashion.

It's not what fans had in mind for Quidditch but it is something. Furthermore, this screenshot reveals that the broom and the flying mount are two individual selectable features so you'll be able to choose between them.

Hogwarts Legacy comes to PC, PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on 10 February, then will release for PS4 and Xbox One on 4 April, and lastly on Nintendo Switch on 25 July.
