Another day brings us another side-by-side comparison of The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part I. As I’m sure you’re aware, the release of Naughty Dog’s new-gen remake is less than a month away so the teases are coming thick and fast. Fans are still divided over Part I’s graphics, but there’s definitely a positive sway as of late. This latest comparison though could be the one to win wary fans over.

The latest clip to be released from The Last of Us Part I features a scene from the prologue in which Joel, Tommy, and Sarah are driving through their hometown in Austin, Texas, during the very beginning of the outbreak. In the cutscene, they drive past a burning farmhouse and the graphical improvements are abundantly clear. Take a look below.

We shouldn’t be too surprised. The Last of Us Part II’s epic fiery scene on the Seraphite island should’ve taught us that Naughty Dog know what they’re doing when it comes to creating flames. Fans shared their thoughts and whilst they all seemed to be impressed by the graphics, they also had the same wish.

YouTube user idkreally wrote, “Very impressive but please release uncut gameplay,” whilst Twitter user kiddo_williams said, “No new gameplay, just graphics.” BooyahRayan summed up what so many fans are feeling, writing, “Bruh show me dodge and I’ll pre order right now.” Naughty Dog may have won fans over on the graphical front, but they’ve still got some convincing to do before release.
