We’re now less than one month away from LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Are you excited? You should be! It’s been some time coming - first announced back at E3 2019 during Microsoft’s press conference, we actually only just got its release date confirmed in January this year.

Thankfully, after all that wait, it looks like we’re in for a good one. A new video released by Warner Bros. Games has shown off some of the planets we can explore when the game launches on 5 April, and they look amazing. As with the previous LEGO Star Wars games, the whole thing looks incredibly charming, and the amount of content in here is going to be immense. Check it out in the video below...

Fans in the YouTube comments have been sharing their hype. “Seeing and hearing more and more about this game just gets me even more hyped, can’t wait for April fifth!” commented Salty Mint. “Was on my wishlist on Steam since 2019, can't wait,” wrote ZIPPERMEMES.

Last month, we got another great look at some behind-the-scenes action on the game, which gave us some insight into some of the Easter eggs we can expect to find, as well as the addition of “Pew Pew Mode”, which is set to replicate all the weapon sound effects with actual, real human mouth noises. So, if your dream was to swing a LEGO lightsaber around while some guy makes the accompanying noises in the background, this might just be your perfect game. I’ll be honest, I don’t know who wanted that to be a thing before it was announced, but after seeing it, I’ve never needed anything more in my life.

Even though it feels like we’ve been waiting for The Skywalker Saga for a while, it seems that wait is going to pale in comparison to the wait for Star Wars: Eclipse. Reportedly, Quantic Dream’s upcoming title may be pushed back as late as 2028, which is wild - we’ll probably be playing it on a brand-new generation of consoles by then. Hopefully it'll actually be good when it finally it comes out.
