A former professional League of Legends player has reportedly been arrested after allegedly committing an “obscene act” on a 15-year-old girl.
As reported by Dot Esports, and first covered by Japanese news site NHK, Takahito “iSeNN” Ogawa, 27, used to be a police officer before he became a professional esports player. The original report, which has been translated by Google, states that he allegedly committed the act on the high schooler at a hotel in Tokyo last October.

According to Leaguepedia, Ogawa was previously known as HolySong, and began his esports career in May 2016 when he joined the Serenade Gaming team. After briefly moving to HarmoniX Gaming in December 2016 and renaming himself to iSeNN, he went to Rascal Jester for almost a full year, before leaving in November 2017. He spent two days on the Hokuto esports team before it was disbanded in 2018, and ended up with AXIZ in early 2019, before eventually retiring in May of that year. During his esports career, Ogawa competed in a number of tournaments in the League of Legends Japan League (LJL), each time playing the role of jungler.
Since retiring, he apparently became an “esports expert”, and coached other players. He was also reportedly a lecturer at a number of high schools.
NHK’s report states that that according to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, Ogawa reportedly “admitted the suspicion by stating that there was no doubt about the investigation” (translated by Google).
Last year (as reported by Dot Esports), a different League of Legends player was arrested in an internet café by an off-duty police officer, due to his presence being announced over the café’s speakers. The officer, who also played the game, had approached the top-ranked player to watch him play, when he reportedly recognised him as being a criminal suspect. Apparently, he then confirmed the suspect’s identity before carrying out the arrest.
