Marvel Officially Respond To Ryan Gosling Wanting To Play Ghost Rider In The MCU

Kevin Feige has heard Ryan Gosling's request, and he appears to be on board with it.

Fans may be divided over the CGI in the new trailer for She-Hulk: Attorney At Law but on the whole, Marvel’s huge onslaught of San Diego Comic Con announcements went down rather well. In case you missed it, we recapped every single reveal but the main takeaway is that Kevin Feige finally revealed that we’re in The Multiverse Saga.

Marvel confirmed that phase four will end later this year with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, before revealing the full phase five line-up. We also know that phase six will kick off with Fantastic Four and end with two back-to-back Avengers films, yet we don’t know what’ll happen between them. Something that’s becoming increasingly likely is we could see the introduction of Ghost Rider.

The epic new trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever may just be Marvel’s best yet. Experience the trailer for yourself below.

Ryan Gosling recently expressed his interest in joining the MCU. Speaking to MTV News’ Josh Horowitz, Gosling revealed that he’d love to play Ghost Rider. Horowitz tweeted, “Ryan and I chatted about the Nova rumours yesterday which he said aren’t true. But this morning, Ryan reached out to me to say there is one superhero he wants to play… Ghost Rider.”

It’s not unusual for actors to throw their dream MCU jobs out into the world, but Gosling’s has caught the attention of Marvel Studios head Feige. During an interview with MTV News at SDCC, Feige appeared to be on board with Gosling’s potential casting saying that he’d “love to find a place” for the actor in the MCU.

Feige said, “Hey man, if Ryan wants to be Ghost Rider […] Gosling’s unbelievable. [...] Ryan is amazing. I’d love to find a place for him in the MCU. He’s dressed up as Ken on Venice Beach and gets more press than giant movies coming out that weekend. It’s amazing.” Sounds like Gosling ticks all the boxes. Watch this space.
