If there’s one thing that everyone knows DOOM for, apart from being a genre-defining FPS, of course, it’s the fact that you can play it on anything. And no, I don’t just mean the likes of Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch (although you can), I mean literally anything with a screen.

You unfortunately can't play the latest DOOM game on a fridge just yet, unlike its predecessor, but hopefully it's just a matter of time.

DOOM on a calculator powered entirely by potatoes? Yep, that’s a thing. How about on a fridge? But of course, how could it be missed out from such a key platform? But what if your only available screen is a McDonald’s cash register? Don’t worry, you’re covered there too. Over the years, DOOM has become the go-to game to be thrown onto the strangest and most obscure screens possible, and one modder’s latest endeavour has continued that legacy.

As reported by Kotaku, @sickcodes on Twitter has managed to get DOOM running on a tractor. Yes, really. To be precise, it’s running on a John Deere tractor display, which the modder recently hacked into, reportedly to bring awareness to the lack of control that farmers have over their equipment. Getting DOOM running on it wasn’t really a necessary part of this plan, but it’s certainly a fun one.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but by the way, please don’t play DOOM while operating actual farming equipment - there’s a reason why it doesn’t come preinstalled.
