Meadow Rain Walker, the daughter of Fast & Furious actor Paul Walker, married her boyfriend last week and she was walked down the aisle by none other than Vin Diesel.
Paul Walker played Brian O'Conner in the Fast & Furious franchise, appearing as an undercover detective investigating truck hijackings who meets Dominic Toretto and soon becomes an integral member of the crew. Following the tragic deaths of Walker and Roger Rodas in a car crash in 2013, the character was retired from the series, with his brothers as stand-ins for the remainder of his scenes in Furious 7.
Meadow was only 15 years old when the accident occurred. Her godfather, Vin Diesel, has been a continuous presence in her life as he and Walker were exceptionally close friends. "I could say that I am so proud of the person you are becoming... but the truth is I have always been proud of you," said the actor in an Instagram post celebrating his goddaughter’s 21st birthday.
Last week, Meadow married her boyfriend Louis Thornton-Allan in a beautiful beach wedding ceremony, and shared a short video of the day to her Instagram account. Diesel stands with Meadow at the gates of the venue, holding her hand and posing for photos. Expectedly, it must have been a very emotional moment for the two of them, and fans sent their heartfelt congratulations to Meadow and her family.
Walker was an important part of Fast & Furious and his loss is still felt. Jordana Brewster, who plays Mia Toretto, recently spoke about how his friends and family commemorate how he changed their lives for the better. "It just gets very intense and then sometimes it's less intense," she said in an interview with People Magazine. "But it just comes in waves… I think that's also part of what's nice about when the cast is together is that we do honor and celebrate him as well.”
