It’s always exciting when Netflix renews a show seeing as the streaming service has such a reputation for doing the very opposite. Just last week, the streamer added yet another fan-favourite to the Netflix graveyard after it cancelled Q-Force. The animated comedy had aired just one season. Today though, Netflix has made the wise decision to renew one of its best sci-fi shows.

Netflix have officially renewed Love, Death & Robots for a fourth season - which is exactly what we want to hear. The animated sci-fi first debuted on the platform in 2019 and it’s gone on to win a very impressive 12 Emmy Awards including best short form animated programme.
If you don’t know, Love Death & Robots is an anthology series. Each episode lasts just over 20 minutes and tells a standalone story, all varying in theme and tone. The series is produced by Blur Studio but individual episodes are created by animation studios from around the world which also gives each tale its own visual animation style.

Just to give you an idea of just how varied Love, Death & Robots is, season three covered a moon expedition, a zombie apocalypse, a CIA experiment, and a rat invasion - and that’s just a few examples. It’s not yet known exactly when season four will debut but based on the gaps between previous seasons, we could see a 2023 or 2024 release which means you’ve got plenty of time to go binge the show. You won’t regret it.
