New Xbox Series X Is Literally Thor's Mjolnir And It's Awesome

New Xbox Series X Is Literally Thor's Mjolnir And It's Awesome

Xbox are giving away a special Thor: Love and Thunder themed Series X over on Twitter, and it looks genuinely brilliant.

In the UK, it’s now less than a week until Thor: Love and Thunder crashes into cinemas. Next Thursday (7 July) is the day - and US readers, fear not, it’s only an extra day over on your side of the pond.

If you want to get yourself into a jolly Marvel mood before then, though, Xbox have got you covered. The official Twitter account has just unveiled an incredible new Series X model which is built to look like Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir (complete with the handle), and the console has truly never looked better. Apart from the mini-fridge, that is. Nothing tops the mini-fridge.

Take a look at the trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder below.

Although the console is a real thing that exists, it unfortunately doesn’t seem like we’ll be able to rock up to our local game stores and ask for one of these bad boys. Instead, Xbox are giving it away via a sweepstakes competition - anyone 18 or over can enter simply by following the official account on Twitter, and retweeting the following tweet with the hashtag ‘#ThorLoveAndThunderSweepstakes’. At the time of writing, there’s currently over 9000 (haha) quote retweets of people doing that very thing, so there’s a lot of competition, but someone’s got to win it, right? You have until 21 July to enter - don’t miss out.

In other news, remember those memes about Ant-Man and Thanos? You know, the ones detailing how Scott Lang could have taken down the Titan in one fell swoop, all from a simple journey up his purple booty? Well, after all this time, Marvel have actually officially responded to the situation, making it canon that Ant-Man knew people were theorising about him doing that. Oddly, it was revealed in none other than a video from the Disney Wish cruise line’s dining experience, the Avengers: Quantum Encounter. Perhaps not the mental image anyone wanted before tucking into a meal, but it’s very important, nonetheless. Truly, this is the lore we all deserve.
