One Of 2021's Biggest Games Is Coming To Game Pass

One Of 2021's Biggest Games Is Coming To Game Pass

It seems that the next bunch of titles to hit Game Pass have leaked on none other than Xbox's own website, and there's some great picks.

Ring ring, Game Pass alert. That’s right, the next bunch of titles to hit Xbox’s subscription service have been uncovered. Well, not officially, but they’ve apparently been leaked on Xbox’s own website, so allow yourself a little hype, as a treat.

As reported by VGC (and first spotted by XGP), an image has been spotted on a public Microsoft server, showcasing the games that are apparently on their way to subscribers’ libraries. As usual, this includes a mix of titles you’ll be able to play on console, PC, and some via Xbox Cloud Gaming.

While you're here, be sure to take a look at this incredible creation of a carbon fiber Xbox controller.

There’s a few to get through, so let’s make it snappy. Dragon Age II, Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare and Star Wars Squadrons are apparently all coming to the cloud. These three were already available on Game Pass via EA Play, but the cloud streaming part is new. Then, we have Cricket 22 and MLB The Show 22 listed for cloud and console, which, lo and behold, have just been added to Game Pass at the time of writing.

Panzercorps 2 and The Dungeon Of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet Of Chaos are supposedly both coming to PC, and then, coming to cloud, console and PC we have Lost in Random, Chinatown Detective Agency, and perhaps the most exciting of the lot, Life is Strange: True Colors

The most recent instalment of the Life is Strange series was one of last year’s strongest titles - it came in 13th on GAMINGbible’s top 40 games of 2021, and we gave it a rare 9/10 in our review, praising it for choice-based narrative, gorgeous visuals, and loveable characters. It goes without saying that assuming this one is headed to Game Pass, you should definitely give it a go.

As for April’s other “free” (in heavy quotation marks) games - starting today, PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to get their hands on the action-packed multiplayer title, Hood: Outlaws & Legends, the “spongetastic” SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated, and the brilliant roguelike Slay the Spire. Whether you looked at that lineup and thought “sweet!”, “ugh”, or “meh” is totally up to you, I’m not in charge.

As for Xbox’s lineup though, we’ll probably be hearing the official word on these Game Pass titles sometime soon, so stay tuned for that (and prepare to be emotionally destroyed by True Colors in the meantime).
