After her record-setting stream on Twitch in October 2020, which saw some 439,000 concurrent viewers watch her playing Among Us with some famous friends, US politician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (aka AOC) is returning to the platform for more impostor-identifying, today.
For her new foray into multiplayer fun, AOC is going to be joined by Canadian parliament member Jagmeet Singh, the leader of the country's New Democratic Party. The online link-up comes after Singh tweeted out details of an Among Us stream, adding, "@AOC, are you in?"
And Ocasio-Cortez, the member of the US House of Representatives from New York's fourteenth district, couldn't say no. "I'm in," she wrote in a follow-up tweet.

Today's live stream featuring the two politicians starts at 7pm ET / 4pm PT - that's midnight tonight, in the UK, for you night owls out there. It'll be viewable on both AOC's Twitch channel and Singh's, too, for those of you who like to have options. And if you want to be sure not to miss the stream, the New Democratic Party is offering a reminder service - head to the party's official website, add your details, and you'll get a notification when the stream is about to start.
In October, Ocasio-Cortez's guests included streamers Pokimane and Jacksepticeye, and fellow House of Representatives member Ilhan Omar. There's no doubt that Twitch streaming was a great way to reach voters ahead of the US presidential election of early November - but we're expecting this new stream between AOC and Singh to be a little less about turning out to have your voice heard, and kicking out the fella in the White House right now, and more about simply ejecting those troublemakers out into the silent void of space.
