'Among Us' Goes Full 3D In Stunning Unreal Engine 4 Footage

This is probably what 'Among Us' would look like 3D

Indie game Among Us is perfect as it is. It has everything you could want out of a fun party game, doesn't it? Killing your friends, lying to your friends, throwing your friends under the proverbial bus. It's fantastic - but can you imagine what it would be like to play the game in a slightly more realistic way? We're talking about 3D, crewmates.

One Among Us fan has done a great job creating a 3D version of the deception game. And it's not just a perspective change, it's a full recreation and reimagining of the Skeld spaceship map in a beautifully rendered Unreal Engine 4 world.

First spotted by Screen Rant, the user Iambackit on Reddit (although BackItDev made the project) posted a video showing off their glorious 3D creation and their take on what it could look like from a first-person perspective. Not only is the game extraordinary pretty, but it's pretty accurate too. Although there isn't any fog of war mechanics, so you can see far in all directions, we can imagine an imposter being on the loose around the map would be pretty scary.

The creator has placed some frankly, adorable crewmates around the ship, and as they give you a tour you can see them all doing their tasks. Pink looks suspicious though, just saying, they were spending far too long doing card swipe if you ask me.

From Reactor to Med Bay, the attention to detail is meticulous. The real Among Us map is pretty plain, as that's just the style of art that really suits the original - so in a 3D setting, BackItDev had to great creative with adding plenty of props around.

It feels great to see an indie game be such an inspiration to so many creators out there - they go on to make cool things with Among Us at the heart of them.
