Few could have predicted what a massive success InnerSloth's indie sci-fi whodunnit Among Us would become. Even fewer could have predicted that the multiplayer space mystery would go on to become one of the most popular searches on Pornhub, but life comes at you fast - especially in this instance.
Pornhub shared some useful statistics in an official blog post after Kotaku got in touch to see how just how popular Among Us was getting on the adult website. As it turns out, the game really started to become gain traction over there around the start of September... which is also pretty much when it started to take off among content creators. You lot don't miss a beat, do you?
"The online game Among Us was originally launched in June of 2018, but didn't receive mainstream recognition until 2020 when well known Twitch Streamers and YouTubers began playing it," Pornhub wrote. "Our friends at Kotaku reached out to see if the increase in popularity carried over to Pornhub as well."

"Searches containing 'Among Us' began picking up around September 1st and reached their peak on September 16th, with nearly 700,000 searches in a single day! Since September, there have been 4.7 million searches!"
700,000 searches in one day. For a game in which the main characters are generic little blob-people with visors for faces. I... I just can't with you lot sometimes. What's really incredible is that with an average daily searches of 115,000, Among Us currently rivals the likes of Fortnite as one of the most searched-for games on Pornhub.
At this point I know what you're probably thinking: "What would Among Us porn even look like?" Lucky for you, I take my role as a journalist very seriously. That's why I checked Pornhub, looked a the thumbnails for some of the videos, and then spent a good ten minutes explaining myself after my wife walked into the room where I work and looked at what was on my screen.
Anyway, Among Us porn is... well, it's pretty much what you'd expect it to be - which is to say that it's definitely not going to be everyone's cup of tea. To each their own, I suppose, but I'll probably just stick to playing the game and leave the, um, wider lore to the rest of you.
