Baby Yoda Being Modded Into ‘Battlefront 2’ And I Would Die For Him

Let's make one thing very clear before we start this article: we're on to you, Disney. We know baby Yoda is a very obvious ploy for us to buy your merchandise from The Mandalorian ahead of Christmas, strengthening your already vice-like grip on our wallets. I would also like to make it clear that I would die for baby Yoda. I would also kill for him.

Apparently, modder Nanobuds1220 (via Reddit) shares this completely rational notion of Yoda-ism, as they've taken to modding the little green cutie into 2017's Star Wars: Battlefront II, as a playable character.

The work-in-progress mod is, obviously, not yet finished - but you can certainly see what they're getting at, and you just know he's going to be drop-dead adorable when he's finished. There's also no word on exactly how baby Yoda will play.

We know from The Mandalorian that he's Force sensitive, so my money would be on a Force-using character being the basis for his model. The idea of him being modded with Palpatine's moves does bring joy to my heart, conjuring images of him doing sweet 720 spins around the hanger at Hoth and zapping jabronis with Force lightning.

More likely, though, he'll just float placidly around the battlefield spreading good vibes and casually observing the slaughter. This is the way.

In other Mandalorian-related news, the Disney+ show has surpassed Netflix's Stranger Things as the most in-demand show in America, ending the 21-week stint the latter achieved. Sadly, those of us in the UK will have to wait until March 2020 before we're able to get our eyes on the show legally (you know who you are), at which point it will undoubtedly set more records.

Until then, we've got more baby Yoda to fawn over on the internet and buy as presents for our friends and loved ones. I'm on to you Disney, I'm bloody on to you. I'll take two t-shirts and a plushie.
