Gamer Finds Out They've Been Doing WASD Wrong Their Whole Life, Gets Roasted

"You're a monster"

Remind me when I find out I've been doing something wrong to not put it on Reddit because otherwise, I'm going to get roasted like this poor person. Xboxdude1 has recently found out that they've been using the WASD keys wrong their entire life and now everyone is dunking on them on Reddit.

WASD are, more commonly than not, the movement keys for PC gamers. Normally, you use your middle three fingers to control the movement fo your character, your thumb for the space bar and then your pinky for extra utilities like sprinting. This player however as used all four fingers on the WASD keys in what looks like the most uncomfortable hand position we've ever seen.

They instead have their ring finger on W and their middle finger on S with their pinky on A. If you're at a computer you have to try this out as we did. It kind of makes sense in a strange way, but there aren't any circumstances we can think of where you need to press both the forwards and backwards buttons at the same time.

People on Reddit have taken to roasting the original poster quite a lot after they've also been utterly confused by the notion of using the keys this way. They ask good questions, "How do you sprint in games?" asks dkgameplayer while Seven_Vandelay comments that "just sounds uncomfortable", and they're right.

Others a little harsher. On a follow-up post where Xboxdude1 shows a video of how they've been using the WASD keys, Takenusernamehere comments "You're a monster". Ther are even people tell the original poster that there is almost certainly a potential medical condition that could stem from using his keyboard like this. Xboxdude1 though says they're not going to change and this is just how they're going to keep playing. Well, fair play to them but we'll also keep judging.
