Following multiple leaks that all pointed to the existence Diablo 4 over the past week or so, we now have one mega leak packed with alleged details regarding the much-demanded action RPG sequel that all but confirm the game is being announced at BlizzCon, which kicks off tomorrow.
This latest (and presumably last) rumour comes via a lengthy Reddit post which shares details on the mechanics, story, levels, and even tone of Diablo 4. While we wouldn't usually pay much attention to a random Reddit leak, this one has been verified by industry inside Daniel Ahmad on Twitter.
This lines up with everything I've heard about Diablo IV.

The game is shaping up well and is definitely what fans would want out of the game. Takes what people loved about D2 style, improves on D3 combat. https://t.co/5aXaQk528M
The leak, which was shared on Reddit by the mysterious PracticalBrush12, claims that Diablo 4 is going to be a "giant wink" to fans of Diablo 2, and will boast a "dark, gritty and gross" aesthetic with "no more rainbow shiny bullshit," as PracticalBrush12 puts it.
"Locations are toned down, infrequently laid with corpses, wasteland, greyish deserts, clut caves surrounded by flesh, rotten crypts, marshes and bogs, plagued cities you name it", the leaker wrote.
They also teased that the game's new locations are much bigger than ever before, and maybe even "open" to an extent. Characters will be able to ride horses and potentially other various mounts, while it was also claimed there'll be plenty of contextual interaction with the environment.
PracticalBrush12 went on to "confirm" three classes so far: A Mage that uses fire, ice and lightning, a barbarian that can uses swords, clubs, axes, and that kind of thing, and a druid that can channel the elements and transform into beasts ("so far bear and werewolf").
Finally, our leaker expressed with certainty that Diablo 4 will have four-player co-op, and said that the game will "possibly" feature a PvP mode from the start.
While there's absolutely no denying that a Diablo 4 BlizzCon reveal tomorrow or Saturday is looking incredibly likely right now, we do have to try and remember that these are just rumours until officially confirmed to be otherwise.
If true though, it sounds like Diablo 4 intends to deliver everything Diablo fans have been waiting years for. Let's just hope it;s not mobile exclusive.
