The GOG Summer Sale Has Some Ludicrous Savings On Classic Games, Right Now

It's summertime - I mean, for the Northern Hemisphere, anyway; and subject to local conditions perhaps not being as seasonally sunny as they could be. Anyway, summer north of the Equator means one thing. Okay, it means some things. In gaming, there's E3, and there's Gamescom. There are the Euros this year, of course. But here's something else: the GOG Summer Sale has kicked off, and it's another one packed full of bargains.

Still with me? Great. The Summer Sale is underway on GOG right now (until June 28), and we've taken a peek to give you a sample of its most sumptuous bargains. For the fast-acting discount hounds, there are some deals only open for a matter of hours, removed from the store tomorrow (June 11). These include 66% off Greedfall with its Adventurer's Gear DLC; a whopping 75% off A Plague Tale: Innocence bundled with its Coats of Arms DLC; 70% off Dying Light and The Surge 2, both with added extras; and 75% off the gripping This War of Mine.

Missed the biggest gaming news of the last week? We've got you covered with Roundup...

Looking elsewhere in the GOG Summer Sale, there's Sleeping Dogs, a real open-world classic of the last-gen (or, the gen before that... what gen are we in, now?), at 85% off for its Definitive Edition release. If you've never taken the Hong Kong detective adventure for a spin, it'll cost you just £2.39 right now. Can't buy a pint for that, these days. Kingdom Come: Deliverance - Royal Edition is down to £11.89, and the Ultimate Edition of GAMINGbible's game of the year for 2019, Control, is priced at £13.99.

Elsewhere, the really underrated Mad Max is down to £4, THIEF: Definitive Edition is at £5, and you can get 20% off one of our favourite games of 2021 so far, Little Nightmares II. That'll set you back a wallet-friendly £19.99. The second-greatest video game ever made, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, is on sale, all DLC included, for £7.

GAMINGbible is a partner on GOG, so we have a handy list of all our favourites for you to check out - and there are plenty of discounts there at the moment, too. There's 50% off Amnesia: Rebirth, 35% off the 10/10-rated Disco Elysium: The Final Cut, 40% off the amazing Streets of Rage 4, and 25% off what might be our favourite indie game of 2020, Paradise Killer. (It's my favourite, at least - indeed, it was my overall number one game of last year.)

Happy browsing, bargain-hunters - and look out for a GOG code giveaway on our Twitter account, soon.
