This Incredible LEGO Graphics Card Could Be The Start Of Something Beautiful

A creative way to pass the time.

Anyone that owns a halfway decent gaming PC knows it's all about the graphics card. I mean, obviously there are other things to consider too, but it takes more than a bit of flashy RGB lighting to run most modern games.

But then, you might not be interested in modern games, preferring instead to stick with retro stuff. And if that's the case then you might want to take a look at the LEGO 3Dfx Voodoo 3D graphics card (not to be confused with an RTX 2080 Ti!). It's the latest creation of Twitter user Bhaal_Spawn (thanks PC Gamer) and is currently live on LEGO Ideas, a website dedicated to creations made from those little plastic bricks.

This isn't the first time that Bhaal_Spawn has dabbled in building PC components out of LEGO. She's also responsible for a Creative Labs - Sound Blaster Pro 2 Sound Card, and if you have a look around the site, you'll see other users have come up with equally ingenious creations such as a SNES, various handheld Nintendo consoles, and a set of Pac-Man figures. And that's just from a quick glance around.

The really neat thing about LEGO Ideas is that if your project gets enough votes, it may be made into a real LEGO set. So while sitting around and building things out of LEGO might not be the first thing that springs to mind of a normal week, it could be something to think about getting into while a lot of us have some extra time at home on our hands. And if you don't want to wait until the kids are in bed to start work on your creation, you could even rope them in, too.

In related news, you'll soon be able to get your hands on a Mandalorian LEGO Set which includes Baby Yoda - aww! (Sorry, sorry, we mean The Child. Sorry.) Preorders are available now, and it will be released on August 1.
