We've all seen that screenshot of Geralt in the bath, right? The one where he's all taut pecs and chiselled hip bones? Well, if you've ever wondered what happened to Geralt after your game is finished - when every contract and side quest is complete and he's nowt to do all day - this new The Witcher 3 mod aims to give us a peek at one of gaming's most iconic bods after Geralt of Rivia takes a well-deserved break.
Introducing Dad Bod Geralt (thanks, PC Gamer), a mod that packs a few extra pounds on Geralt's svelte frame. It works by replacing Geralt's "body mesh, body diffuse and normal textures, and his underwear mesh to give Geralt a notable gut and extra fat in his chest" to "increase [our] immersion with a nice gut to show off the good life!"

"So you've beaten the game for well over the third time and found yourself relaxing back at Toussaint," writes the mod creator, "HackerAxe". "All of your Witcher contracts completed, side quests done, even most of your unknown locations are done... aside from those few in Skellige probably. There are no more adventures to go on, tasks to do, and barely any monsters to defeat... and Geralt of Rivia has already found himself gaining a few pounds in the peacetime."
In related news, don't forget that The Witcher characters Cahir (or Cahir Mawr Dyffryn aep Ceallach to full-name him) and Fringilla Vigo will get a little more of the limelight in the next season of the hit Netflix show, The Witcher (which is some very good telly, BTW).
Showrunner Lauren S Hissrich recently tweeted that in the forthcoming second season - which is expected to drop sometime in 2021 following delays caused by the coronavirus pandemic - she will shine a light on these important characters, too.

"I can't wait to dig deeper into Cahir and Fringilla in S2," she said at the time, adding: "who they are, why Nilfgaard is important to them, and where they'll go from here." She adds that the development of these characters is "one of my favourite parts of the new season".
