You Can Finally Date Colonel Sanders In This KFC Dating Sim

Have you ever wanted to date Colonel Sanders, or at the very least seduce him and unlock the secrets to that mysterious blend of 11 herbs and spices that makes KFC the finger lickin' treat that it is? No, me either, but there's a video game that lets us do that now so we may as well shut up and enjoy the ride.

I Love You, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin' Good Dating Simulator, has appeared out of the chickeny blue on Steam, and people are understandably losing their minds over it. Developed by Psyop, this Kentucky Fried dating sim was, according to Steam, actually published by KFC itself. The company previously created a dedicated gaming Twitter account, so it's not entirely beyond the realms of possibility that they could have created a surprise dating sim, even if it is an incredibly odd and unexpected move on the part of the fast food purveyor.

I Love You Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin' Good Dating Simulator puts players in the shoes of a "promising culinary student" who studies alongside a younger, and much more handsome Colonel Sanders. You've gotta make it through culinary school while attempting to find love - the greatest challenge of all. If you can prove yourself however, you'll find yourself with a new business partner and love interest going forward.

The official Steam description invites players to enjoy "the most delicious dating simulator ever created. Do you have what it takes to be the business partner of and win the heart of the most famous chicken salesman of all time? Play to find out! Go ahead, Colonel Sanders is waiting."

The game, which is "coming soon" promises a cast of no less than nine loveable characters, multiple hours of play time, a dateable Colonel Sanders, cooking battles, battle battles, a secret ending and secret recipes, the ability to earn a degree from a fictional culinary school, and perhaps most thrillingly of all, 11 herbs and spices.

The Steam description also suggests once again that the game was officially created by KFC, which is seriously blowing my mind. All I really need to know right now is that the game contains a character called Professor Dog, who is in fact a dog and a professor at the culinary school. That alone makes this a GOTY contender in my mind.
