Popular content creator and social media personality PewDiePie has been banned from Twitch.
Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg aka PewDiePie was once the most popular content creator on YouTube. That was until he was knocked off his perch by an Indian music company, and arch nemesis T-Series.
Yet with over 111 million subscribers, PewDiePie is still amongst the most popular individual (none-brand) YouTubers on the planet, behind MrBeast who has a whopping 138 million subscribers.
In case you were wondering, the top-three channels on YouTube ahead of MrBeast and PewDiePie are T-Series (241 million subscribers), Cocomelon (158 million) and Sony Entertainment Television India (155 million).

Recently, PewDiePie made an odd comeback on Twitch by streaming a seemingly endless loop of previously uploaded YouTube content to his channel. While controversial, it can be considered an easy way to make money on the platform without actually live-streaming in person to his 1.5 million followers.
However, as reported by Dexerto, PewDiePie has been mysteriously banned from Twitch for reasons that, at the time of writing, are officially unknown. That being said, it might be safe to assume that the reason for the ban is due to the minimal effort in uploading never-ending YouTube clips. What’s more, it’s not been confirmed whether this is a temporary suspension or a permanent ban.

Content creators being banned on Twitch is nothing new for many reasons and if they’re popular enough, they often make a triumphant comeback. It remains to be seen whether PewDiePie’s ban will be lifted, but we wouldn't bet against it.
In related news, popular Hot Tub streamer Amouranth, real name Kaitlyn Siragusa, who has 6.3 million followers on the platform has just received a ban for the first time since 2021. Furthermore, a Twitch streamer's broadcast was dramatically interrupted by a drive-by shooting!
