Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg found himself in hot water with the law recently, following the alleged purchase of an illegal item online.
After taking a break from YouTube in January, Kjellberg returned earlier this week with a lengthy new video titled "I Bought Forbidden Wish Items (Cops Came To My House Big Oopsie)." That pretty much sums it up, to be honest. But I expect you want to know more.

For those who might not be aware, Wish is a major online marketplace where sellers all over the world can flog their wares to potential buyers. The issue is that plenty of questionable items can often find their way on to the website, and anyone looking to buy something from Wish is always advised to be absolutely sure they're getting what they actually paid for.

Kjellberg explains in his video that he recently decided to purchase a Balisong, also known as a butterfly knife. These knives are especially popular because of their center rotation, which allows owners to perform impressive - but dangerous -tricks.
While blunt versions of the knife are available to purchase so that users can practice tricks without slicing themselves apart, the device is now illegal in many countries.
The YouTuber has a particular love for these knives, and decided to purchase one from Wish. Predictably, the police were far from pleased that someone had ordered a weapon online, and visited his house to have a word.
“I had the great idea of trying to buy a balisong, because I like them and they’re fun to play with. Don’t do that, do not buy a balisong” Kjellberg said. “The cops came to my house and told me that I was bad and I shouldn’t have done that, so I am sorry.”

He added that the knife would be considered a “tool, not a weapon" in his native country of Sweden. Here in England, it's an illegal item, and the police confiscated it from the YouTuber before he ever saw it.
