Cyberpunk 2077 dev confirms the game's biggest killer

Cyberpunk 2077 dev confirms the game's biggest killer

Turns out the biggest killer in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty isn't even an enemy...

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty’s biggest killer has been named, and it’s not even one of the enemy types.

Following CD Projekt Red’s efforts to save the game, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is in the best place it’s ever been, prompting fans to say if it was released in the state it’s in now it would have been game of the year.

The star of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty recently sat down to talk about his Sonic spin-off show Knuckles, whilst also expressing interest in returning to the Cyberpunk world one day…

However after thousands of players visited Dog Town to experience the new story expansion, CD Projekt Red monitored what the players got up to, including what killed them the most.

Obviously, the DLC’s two boss encounters, Militech Chimera and Militech Cerberus were mostly responsible for player deaths with a combined total of 5.9 million fatalities accredited to them.

However in a surprising turn of events the third biggest killer in the Phantom Liberty DLC wasn’t an enemy at all, it was gravity.

Turns out around 2.6 million players met their untimely demise by falling off the catwalk in the stadium, quite the hilarious surprise.

Pretty weird that a catwalk provided more of a challenge than Adam Smasher did in the base game, as you can find loads of videos of him getting absolutely owned by players with high-level builds.

Unfortunately there’s no more new content on the way for Cyberpunk 2077, though that hasn’t stopped modders from making their own additions like a playable multiplayer mode.

Cyberpunk fans waiting for their next big net-running adventure will have to wait for the sequel, which is in the very early stages of planning, though it’s said it’ll use Unreal Engine 5.

In the meantime, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty can be played on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
