GTA 3 gets beautiful Unreal Engine 5 remake you can check out now

This is the remake we've all been waiting for

Step aside, GTA VI, we’re momentarily interested in the stunning GTA III remake that’s doing the rounds. Created using Unreal Engine 5, this remake concept is everything we want from this timeless classic.

GTA III doesn’t need a remake, considering how popular it still is to this day. However, seeing this “revolutionary” title given refreshed graphics better than what Rockstar Games offered in its Definitive Edition is a sight to behold. We’re not crying, you’re crying!

We know that a lot of PC gamers are starting to get ‘The Fear’ when they think about GTA VIs release date, so, to help distract your worried minds, we thought it would be nice to turn attention to games we can play in the here and now. Granted, we can’t play the GTA III remake shown in the video below, but at least there's the revamped Rockstar version to tide us over.

Come on now, how amazing does this GTA III remake look?

The Unreal Engine remake, created using GTA V mods, is putting Rockstar Games’ offering “to shame”, as far as the fandom is concerned. Players are calling this fan-made project “the remaster we deserved”, which goes a long way to show sentiments towards Rockstar right now.

The original title has “a charm to it” that the remake concept, for the most part, captures well. GTA III had a fantastic “atmosphere and soundtrack” which made for a “unique” experience at the time. Although Grand Theft Auto has advanced and adapted since then, GTA III remains in the hearts of many.

We need this now more than ever because, shocker, a delay for GTA VI seems increasingly likely as its 2025 release date is pushed back. The longer it takes for the game to come, the more fans will return to the old ways to comfort themselves during this difficult time.

If you want to reminisce about a game that’ll “go down in history as one of the best”, this is how you do it.
