GTA 6 bringing back iconic San Andreas missions, leaks appear to confirm

GTA 6 bringing back iconic San Andreas missions, leaks appear to confirm

Could we be be heading out on the road wearing our trucker caps again?

What is actually happening with GTA VI is anyone’s guess. Obviously, Rockstar Games is aware of the facts, but as we’re only casual observers, we have to wait for the developers to deliver the goods. Still, while we can’t be sure of anything, a return of iconic GTA: San Andreas missions does seem to be on the cards according to leaks.

These aren't new leaks but rather an analysis of leaks that have gone before, with eagle eyes noticing what others have missed. User vaspinbreak1 opens their Reddit post by stating that their summations are discussing GTA VI “things” they found “interesting and aren’t talked about a lot”. Under that declaration, they start by pointing out that “Trucking missions from GTA: SA seem to be back as there is an icon for a truck”, referring to the map images circulating.

GTA: San Andreas has never looked as good as this remake!

Consisting of eight missions in total, the trucking was a hair-raising part of GTA: SA, with you able to fail in numerous ways, though the reward was $2,000. A sweet payoff if you can stay on the road. As someone who’s awful at driving, both in real life and in video games, these missions were a nightmare in the best of ways – chaos always ensued, which you kind of want when playing GTA.

It would seem I’m not alone in my struggles, as when fans reminisce about the best side missions, a lot of people simply say that “trucking can f**k off”. I feel you. Yet, with San Andreas arguably one of the best GTA titles, it’s fair to say we’d love to see the trucking return, even if we end up going bald from the stress.

This isn’t the only possible return to GTA: SA the new GTA might bring, as the OP also drew comparisons between the customisations of the 2004 game and the leaked GTA VI customisation. “The customisation seems to be more like GTA: SA as we can see Jason with a tan, different hairstyles, facial hair and sometimes he is really skinny and other times he is muscular,” they added further down their post.

These are all well-reasoned theories, but with the release date fuelling further uncertainty, it seems we’ll be waiting for longer before we learn any official Rockstar details.
