The latest leaks for Grand Theft Auto VI suggest a whole new physics system will be featured in the game, making the world far more realistic.

Grand Theft Auto fans are keeping their fingers crossed that a reveal for GTA VI will be shared by the end of this month, and there’s a pretty good chance of it happening too.

October is usually the time of year Rockstar Games makes its big announcements, as Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2 both got official reveals in the same month. Fans also think the recent updates for Grand Theft Auto Online point towards the company gearing up for something big in the next few weeks

For now, fans are biding their time by analysing the various leaks that emerged online, one of which suggests an entirely new game engine will be used for GTA VI, making everything in the game that much more immersive.

The confidential sources are supposedly Rockstar insiders, who claim the new engine will allow for greater physics. This is apparently reflected in the vehicles, which break up and crumple in a more realistic way.

Things like weather cycles, water effects, and day/night cycles have apparently been overhauled too, acting more like they do in real life.

NPC and enemy AI are also rumoured to be vastly improved over what it was in Grand Theft Auto V, and we caught a glimpse of that with a recent gameplay leak, which showed the player’s character being pursued by the police, who acted far smarter in the way they followed the player’s car.

All in all, it sounds like Grand Theft Auto VI will be the revolutionary title everyone’s expecting it to be, which is no surprise given how much money was poured into its development.

When it launches, Grand Theft Auto VI will be available for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and potentially PC.
