Fans are convinced a new job advert is evidence Warner Bros has something else planned for Hogwarts Legacy, possibly a DLC expansion.

Hogwarts Legacy is officially the best-selling game of 2023 and no wonder considering it blew its players away with a stunning recreation of the wizarding world and gameplay that made us feel like we were our own young magic-wielder.

Despite the game being snubbed at The Game Awards this year, prompting outrage from its fanbase, it hasn’t stopped players from enjoying their time with the Harry Potter spin-off, and more importantly, wanting more of it.

The main critique of the game so far is that once you’ve finished the main story and side contents, the world feels criminally empty, with fans believing this could be easily fixed with a DLC expansion. It’d make sense now more than ever too, now that the game is playable on almost every platform, including Xbox, PlayStation, PC and most recently Nintendo Switch.

Now fans think an expansion or continuation is in development, thanks to a new job listing for the Hogwarts Legacy team.

Shared by the user ItsYaGirlConfusion on Reddit, the listing is for a Senior Producer and has players convinced “something is in the works.”

Commenters speculated on what it could all mean, with many suggesting their own ideas for new gameplay elements that could be introduced to the current game, or a sequel.

One said: “I really hope they add some sort of school schedule to the next game, like Bully.”

Another added: “They should focus on HL 2.”

Finally one said: “I hope they listen to the fans. I’d rather wait longer and have a game that’s much more developed than a rushed one with a thin storyline, little replay value, and obviously removed desired features that come out sooner.”

Considering the first game sold so well across all of its platforms, a sequel that improves the gameplay and expands it with new features sounds like it could potentially break records.
