A new Jurassic Park game, Jurassic Park: Survival, has been announced during tonight’s Game Awards, via a trailer that tugged at our nostalgic heartstrings and spiked our adrenaline with fear.
The trailer depicted an original character making their way into the kitchen from the first film where the velociraptor attacked. It’s unclear if she’s being pursed by a velociraptor or another dino, but nevertheless, it triggered all the same fear responses.

Our new protagonist then flees outdoors, through the wind, rain, and dark jungle before stumbling across the apex of prehistoric predators, the colossal Tyrannosaurus Rex, who stands tall and lets out a mighty roar that will send a shiver down the spines of Jurassic Park fans.

The trailer then cuts to black before diving into some gameplay.
It’s unclear from the trailer what the genre of the game will be, but it’s looking like it’ll be some sort of survival horror, not exactly Dino Crisis, but it looks fantastic nonetheless.
What we do know from the brief gameplay shown at the end of the trailer is that it'll be first-person, likely a first-person shooter. We see the game's protagonist in scripted segments being attacked by raptors, as well as jumping into what appears to be some sort of sewage pipe while chased down by the T-Rex, slamming the gate shut just in time to avoid being crunched to death.
It certainly looks excited, as well as absolutely terrifying, like Far Cry but with the horror dial turned up to 11.

Confirmed platforms are Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC, though a release date hasn't been shared at the time of writing.
