The Witcher Season 4 is on the way to Netflix later this year, and for whether you like it or not, Liam Hemsworth is Geralt.

It’s still a crying shame that Henry Cavill left the series when he did, especially since he’s an enormous fan of the books and games developed by CD Projekt Red.

Now that the third season has aired, fans have been eagerly awaiting further news on the fourth season, when Liam Hemsworth will put on the wig, don the swords and become the White Wolf himself.

It’s said Hemsworth has been preparing for the role by reading the books, and while we haven’t seen his version of the character in the flesh yet, his co-star Freya Allen thinks fans will be impressed.

In a recent interview with Comicbook.com, the Witcher star, who plays Ciri, spoke about what to expect from the upcoming season and briefly touched on what it was like to work with Hemsworth.

Allen said: "He's lovely. Really, really sweet. Really, you know, grounded person, and I was dreading it for a while, if I'm honest … But now I'm on it, and we have, thank God, a great director starting us off which has made it so much fun. My storyline is just so much great stuff to play. I'm actually quite happy."

The fourth season is said to arrive on Netflix later this year, with a fifth season rumoured to be on the way for 2025.

The fifth season will also be the grand-finale, and two spin-offs of the Netflix series have also been cancelled, shelving off the adaptation for good.

As for Henry Cavill, he’s moved onto bigger and brighter things, most notably a live-action series of Warhammer 40k, which he’s creating and starring in through a partnership with Amazon Prime Video.

Hopefully the next two seasons of The Witcher end on an equally high note, especially after the hardships it's endured.
