Overwatch 2 is seemingly the gift that keeps on disappointing, with the latest problem being premium-priced Diablo 4 skins.
The seventh season of Blizzard Entertainment’s controversial first-person-shooter has officially kicked off, starting with a Halloween-themed update and collaboration with another Blizzard IP, Diablo IV.

The latest Season 7 bundle includes the latest Battle Pass, as well as two Diablo IV skins for Moira and Pharah. Moira’s new skin sees her become the main antagonist of the latest Diablo game, Lilith, whereas Pharah’s sees her don the armour of the rogue angel Inarius.
While the new skins do look pretty cool, their price has caused controversy amongst the community, as the bundle will set you back a whopping $40, almost the price of a brand-new game.
Overwatch 2’s microtransactions have been the main source of outrage for players, with many believing just because the game is free to play, doesn’t mean Blizzard can justify the ridiculous prices in its item shop. Recently, the game came under fire for backpedalling on its free story mission content, instead choosing to charge players separately to access them.
Now the new Diablo skins are just adding further flame to the fire, and to make things worse, it’s been reporting that players using the skins are getting hate-bombed in online matches.

A Reddit user called Adorable-Fact4378 shared their recent online experience, which apparently saw them being harassed by other players for wearing the new Lilith Moira skin.
They said: “Look I get it...The Lilith bundle is stupid expensive for what it gives you. But harassing someone in a comp match over their purchase? Really? ... I'm sorry you're bothered by the fact I spent $40 that I earned for myself to spend on whatever I want. Deal with it, I guess.”
Fans sympathised, many of which agreed that you can disagree with Blizzard’s microtransaction practices without harassing people that don’t mind them.
