Another Cyberpunk 2077 overhaul mod to add to the collection

There’s a new graphic overhaul mod for Cyberpunk 2077, and the change it makes to the game is really weird.

There’s no denying that Cyberpunk 2077 is a gorgeous-looking game, even having its moments on the buggy Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game.

During an interview about Sonic The Hedgehog spin-off, Knuckles, Idris Elba confirmed he’d love to return to Cyberpunk 2077’s world, check out the full interview below

With the power of new-gen hardware like the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 the game looks even better, though it’s nothing confirmed to what high-end PCs can do, especially when you combine it with mods.

While there’s a wide variety to choose from, the one we’re talking about today has a, let’s say unique, effect on the look of the environment, specifically the trees.

It’s called the Better Tree Textures mod and it’s available to download for free right now on NexusMods.

Now you don’t actually see a lot of trees in Cyberpunk 2077, considering most of the game takes place in the concrete-jungle light show that is Night City, though the ones you do occasionally find have always looked weird.

When CD Projekt Red’s RPG first came out fans picked it apart for all the bugs, glitches and graphical issues it had, especially the weirdly low-resolution tree models found in the game.

Despite all the work the developer has done to improve the game the trees have never really changed, though this mod should do the trick by making them look like, well, trees.

It’s a simple change, and probably one you won’t notice as you’re dipping through the alleys of Night City but when you’re tearing through the desert outside then you might pick up on the changes.

It’ll also make a good accessory mod for other graphical overhauls, so no harm in adding it to whatever mod concoction you’re currently running for the game.
