Cyberpunk 2077 players can get a huge graphics boost by changing one setting

Cyberpunk 2077 players can get a huge graphics boost by changing one setting

Cyberpunk 2077 just received yet another major graphics boost on PC thanks to NVIDIA.

Just when we thought Cyberpunk 2077 couldn’t possibly look any better, “Oh, yes it can,” replies NVIDIA.

What a transformative 12 months it’s been for Cyberpunk 2077. Of course, things really got underway further back when the game’s new-gen patch was released. It was in 2023 though that Cyberpunk 2077 began living up to its true potential thanks to the release of Update 2.0 and the fantastic Phantom Liberty expansion. While Update 2.0 introduced vehicular combat, mounted weaponry, a new skill tree, and more, Phantom Liberty took us to the enigmatic Dogtown. Throw in the surprise addition of the metro system in Update 2.1, and Cyberpunk 2077 became a sight to behold. Thanks to NVIDIA, it’s just got yet another update on PC.

PC may just be the best way to experience this game. Take a look at Phantom Liberty in action on PC below.

As reported by Dexerto, PC users with the relevant hardware can now make use of DLSS 3.5 to give Night City yet another upgrade. You just need to be using a NVIDIA RTX graphics card in order to use DLSS software - plus make sure that Cyberpunk 2077 is up to date. When it is, load up the game, and find the Graphics tab under Settings.

Once you’ve done this, enable NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution and choose your preferred quality mode. There is then an option that reads ‘DLSS Ray Reconstruction’ which you can switch to On. This will massively boost the game’s resolution, providing you with a sharper and crisper image. Job done.

While us mere mortals on console may not be able to benefit from this upgrade, it’s no major loss given that Cyberpunk 2077 is a fantastic looking game as it is. While CD Projekt RED has now shifted its efforts to The Witcher 4, a sequel is on the way eventually, codenamed Project Orion. That’s something to look forward to.
