PC gamers can grab 8 free games throughout August

Lots to play!

I know that look in your eye. Hungry for some free games, aren't you? Wondering where you can get the best free titles for August? We've got you covered, boo.

There are a ton of free games available if you know where to look. Some are through subscription services like PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass, while others are simply floating around on Steam ready for the taking with no strings attached.

There are a ton of great free games to get your hands on in August, but this particularly batch of eight isn't available to everyone. Still, we'll take you through the offerings so you can see what to expect.

Amazon Prime has announced the eight free games that its members can get throughout August. To claim these titles each week, you'll need the following: A gaming PC and an Amazon Prime account. If you've not got those, you're in the wrong place, chum.

Without further ado, let's take a look at what you can get, and when you can get it:

  • PayDay 2 (3 August) - a brilliant crime heist sim, this version also comes with Gage Mod Courier DLC, which includes around 28 new weapon modifications and 10 new achievements.
  • Farming Simulator 19 (10 August) - It's a farming simulator. Not sure what more you want me to say on this one.
  • Blade Assault (10 August) - A stylish 2D action rogue-lite platformer.
  • Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 (17 August) - This was probably one of the best Star Wars games around before the Jedi series came on the scene.
  • Foretales (17 August) - An interesting story driven card game with plenty of choices and consequences.
  • Driftland: The Magic Revival (17 August) - An epic fantasy city builder/god sim.
  • In Sound Mind (24 August) - A freaky first-person horror game with mind-bending puzzles and plenty of scares.
  • Summertime Madness (31 August) - A first-person puzzle game/escape room sim that's well worth a look.

In addition to all of the above we can also expect free cosmetics for the likes of Call Of Duty: Warzone 2, Dead By Daylight, and Overwatch 2.
