Major 2022 PlayStation exclusive is reportedly coming to PC this year

According to one insider, Horizon Forbidden West is coming to PC later this year.

Sony has seen huge success in recent months by porting their wildly popular first party titles over to PC. After seeing players swarm to Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War and, most recently, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, rumours are swirling that the Japanese publisher is lining up the next game to make the jump.

Many believe this was confirmed a few days ago when a listing appeared via a classification body in Singapore. The listing mentioned Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition for PlayStation 5 which, one would be safe to assume, will include the Burning Shores DLC. The listing also mentioned the release would come in 2023.

Take a look at Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores in action below.

It wasn’t long before the webpage was taken down. This has led to increased speculation that a PC version will arrive on the same day as this expanded edition for PS5. Fans began to wonder if we would see the title announced during the September ‘State of Play’ event which Sony uses to showcase upcoming games.

However, since this rumour began to circulate, Sony has confirmed the State of Play event for 14 September 2023, but insists we will only see “third-party titles, indies and a focus on PS VR2”.

It is worth noting that the details of this PC port were brought to the attention of the public by leaker billbil-kun who has been reliable in the past, so you can’t rule out a formal announcement later this year.

The leaker seemingly confirms the speculation to be true stating, “According to our latest information, the PlayStation exclusive is none other than Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition. The game will be available as usual on Steam and the Epic Games Store.”
