Robocop Vs Predator game released, and you can play free right now

Surely Robocop will win this one, right? Right?

Have you ever lay awake at night, your mind troubled as you try to figure out who would win in a battle between Robocop and Predator? Of course you have, we all have. Well, now you don’t need to wonder because you can play the game to settle the score once and for all.

What makes this game all the more enticing, besides the obvious, is that it’s free to play – just fire up your PC, visit itch.io, and travel back to a time when video games were much simpler but no less fun.

Check out the trailer for the new Robocop Vs Predator game

Rendered in stunning Nintendo Gameboy-esque pixels, it really feels like you’re playing a game released in the early 90s; the sounds, the graphics, the controls, it all taps into that nostalgia we simply can’t get enough of.

But what of the story behind this epic battle?

“Robocop is involved in an awesome adventure against Predator, but the terrible alien is not the only problem that he'll face. More troubles from the future are coming, but some friends also, to fight this final war and save the future of the human race!”

That’s the synopsis that the devs have provided, and while it isn’t attempting to reinvent sci-fi adventures, it’s delivering on the 80s and 90s aesthetic we've come to expect. So much so that any fan of the time period and/or film franchises will adore playing this free title.

“This game looks freaking sweet, keep up the amazing work guys,” posted one excited gamer, already eager to play this new free title for themself.

If only the game actually ran on the Gameboy, then all our dreams would be answered. Still, while it’s unlikely that'll become a reality, we can pretend we’re playing our Gameboy, which is the next best thing for those of us who’ve never forgotten the joy it gave us.

Alongside Robocop Vs Predator are other games from the devs, though these aren’t free. However, at just $2 each, it’s a small price to pay to see what else these creative minds have to offer.
