Turns out if you cram enough mods into The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim it starts to look a lot like The Elder Scrolls VI, who’d have thought?

Turns out if you cram enough mods into The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim it starts to look a lot like The Elder Scrolls VI, who’d have thought?

Okay it doesn’t look exactly like The Elder Scrolls VI, mainly because we still haven’t seen gameplay of it despite it being teased over five years ago, something fans are still pretty salty about.

Check out the teaser trailer for The Elder Scrolls VI below

In the meantime Bethesda fans are still playing Skyrim to pass the time, though that could potentially change when Avowed launches later this year, which seems to be Obsidian Entertainment’s attempt of making its own Elder Scrolls game. Of course repeat playthroughs of Skyrim, as good as it is, can get pretty boring so fans love to pour as many mods as possible into the game to spice it up a bit.

Mods are available for players on Xbox, PlayStation and PC platforms, with one PC player switching on so many graphic enhancement mods that it genuinely looks like a new-gen game.

The player shared some of their gameplay online saying it’s “crazy” how good the game can look with the right mod combinations.

They were spot on too as the game has literally never looked better. The lighting, reflections and details are all phenomenal to the point where I had to double-take because of how different it looked to the base game. It’s arguably the definitive way to play the game and if The Elder Scrolls VI looks as good as modded Skyrim does fans are in for a real treat.

Bethesda has promised The Elder Scrolls VI is now in full-development and when it launches it’ll keep gamers occupied for years with all of its content.

A release date is currently unknown at the time of writing, but in the meantime you should absolutely play through Skyrim again, or twice, or ten times even, you’ve probably got time.
