More quests to make sure your playthrough doesn't end

The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim feels neverending in the best way possible. Just the base game features hundreds of hours of exploration and combat, giving players exactly what they want.

When you add in the extensive modding community, you could, if you so choose, play the game forever and keep adding new quests and dungeons to play through.

Skyrim is the game that keeps on giving with hundreds of hours in mods available.

Due to Skyrim’s simple modding, creators are able to add lengthy new questlines or entirely new dungeons in which to get lost or stumble over some great loot.

Shadows Over Ilinalta is one of those mods, whose main goal is to take a previously explored area of the game and expand it, giving players more to keep them busy.

The mod overhauls the Lake Ilinalta area of Skyrim adding “a few new dungeons and 10 quests,” while the mod also changes up the look of the lake by expanding the structures around it.

That may not sound like a lot on the surface, but by the time you’ve exited the dungeons, it will have seriously bulked out your playthrough.

The mod is compatible with many of the well-known mods from other teams and it seems players are enjoying this expanded experience. This fan is very enthusiastic, “The mod looks beautiful so far and adds a lot of interesting places to explore. Makes the area more refreshing.”

There are a wealth of mods out there for Skyrim and it’s worth picking through them to tailor-make your experience. Some people prefer to ramp up the combat, while others want more exploration.

Shadows Over Ilinalta definitely focuses on exploration and broadening your adventure with those new quests, all of which are unique and exciting.

If you’re thinking of restarting Skyrim soon and want to expand through mods, definitely add this one to your list.
