One of the latest mods for Starfield fixes the game’s most annoying gameplay feature, and makes jet packs cool again.

While you could argue Starfield is nothing more than a Fallout game in space, that’s not to say it’s bad, and with some of the recent updates, it’s actually worth revisiting if you put it down shortly after launch.

Speaking of Fallout, check out GAMINGbible’s interview with the cast of the live-action show below.

We can’t lie, cruising through space in your custom-built starship, and taking in the serene sights of several planets makes you feel like a true space explorer, but the game really opens up when you get the jetpack.

Unfortunately, the jetpack only propels the player upwards, you can’t zoom around at a fixed level for exploration and combat, at least until now.

Introducing the Fly Around With Jetpack mod, and you’ll never guess what it does.

The mod adds greater versatility to the jetpack, allowing you to alternate between vertical and horizontal movement.

Not only does this help you get from A to B a bit quicker than you would on foot, but it also unlocks a whole perspective to combat by letting you pick off enemies from the skies.

If you’re like me and you’re still gutted that EA cancelled the Mandalorian game, this mod might just scratch the itch to be an intergalactic bounty hunter.

There’s plenty more on the horizon for Starfield this year as well, like for starters, official mod support via Creation Club 2.0.

This has been a highly-requested feature as Starfield is notoriously difficult to mod for, especially the big expansion type content we’ve seen for Fallout and Elder Scrolls games in the past.

If you’re playing on PC, it’s practically essential that you check out some of the latest and greatest additions to NexusMods, as some of them completely change the game for the better.
