CD Projekt RED's GOG is giving away Ghost Master to all PC players for free.

September is absolutely stacked when it comes to new releases. In fact, it could end up being a pretty pricey month for those of us who enjoy staying up to date with such games.

Of course, the big headliner of the month is Starfield, but we’ve also got Lies of P, Mortal Kombat 1, Payday 3, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, and EA Sports FC 24 on the way. In our review of Starfield, we wrote, “Every now and then, a new game comes along that changes our perception of what the industry is capable of. Starfield is that game. This is beyond what we’ve come to know an open-world to be. Bethesda has created a universe that, despite its vast scale, maintains interest and an impressive attention to detail throughout.” It’s well worth checking out. If you are on the lookout for something that’s more friendly to your wallet though, you can pick up the delightful Ghost Master for free on PC right now.

Take a look at our video review for Starfield tomorrow.

Ghost Master is a puzzle-strategy game developed by studio Sick Puppies. It was originally released on PC, Xbox and PlayStation 2 back in 2003/4. You’ll essentially play as a ghost who’s tasked with scaring all nearby humans, forcing them to flee away. There are over 40 ‘spirit types to command’ across 11 environments.

The official synopsis reads, “‘Exercise’ your demons. Put your poltergeists through their paces and get your ghosts in gear. Scare up some fun in this haunting world inspired by classic horror films like Hellraiser or Ghost Ship. You become the Ghost Master in a unique witches brew of strategy, adventure, and ghoulish sim. Your sole purpose is to frighten the mortals right out of town.”

You can grab the game totally for free right now over on GOG.com, a subsidiary of CD projekt RED. There are only 51 hours left to grab the game at the time of writing, which means the countdown clock will run out on Thursday 7 September.
