Horizon Forbidden West players spot unreal new detail after two years

Horizon Forbidden West players have spotted an incredible detail that's new to some, even after two years.

Although it has been over two years since the release of Horizon Forbidden West, fans are still finding new and interesting features in the action RPG.

Despite unfortunately being released in the same week as Elden Ring back in 2022, Horizon Forbidden West was the long-awaited sequel to 2017 Horizon Zero Dawn. Telling the story of outcast Aloy who lives in a land overrun by mechanical creatures, she must find a way to integrate herself back into the tribe in order to uncover the true secrets of her world.

With a vast open world, tons of side quests and a beautiful setting, Horizon Forbidden West had a mainly positive reception but one feature that received a lot of interest was its graphics.

We all remember the image that went viral on Twitter after the game’s release, showing that Aloy was in fact based on a real life woman and as a result, had baby hairs on her face when the camera is zoomed right in. Although some people couldn’t cope with this natural human phenomenon, it did draw attention to Guerrilla Game’s incredible graphics for the sequel.

Following on from that, fans have recently discovered another interesting feature and shared it over on r/playstation. When zooming into Aloy’s face when she is in a hot climate, you will see sweat beads dripping down her face. Not only that but she will also audibly complain about the heat. Although this is a small detail, it still shows how realistic the game is aiming to be.

With rumours that the next Horizon Zero Dawn sequel is set to spell the end of Aloy’s adventure, fans are still excited to see where the story will take them. Needless to say, let us hope it doesn’t release alongside anything Elden Ring related this time.
