PlayStation users will once again be able to play select games for free this weekend, without a subscription to PlayStation Plus.
Every now and then PlayStation feels generous and gives its players a chance to try some games for free, without PlayStation Plus. This weekend the company is offering three online multiplayer titles which are worth a go if you haven’t tried them already.

This weekend, and this weekend only, NBA 2K24, EA Sports FC24 and Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be downloadable and playable at no additional cost. They’re not the most exciting titles, as the reviews for all three have been less than ideal, but they’ll be free so we really can’t complain.

NBA 2K24 and FC24 are the prime picks for sporting fans, but I’d argue the new Call Of Duty game is worth checking out most above the two others.
The story behind Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare III has been intriguing, to say the least, as the online multiplayer has broken records though that might be because it’s just the Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer with a few bells and whistles added in.
The main problem is the single-player campaign, which many believe to be of a similar quality to a DLC expansion rather than a fully-fledged new entry in the series. Top that off with arguably the most popular mode in the franchise, Call Of Duty Zombies, being a shell of its former self and you have a pretty disappointing release, if you’ve paid for it…
While it’s free over the weekend it’s worth playing so you can decide for yourself, if you’re willing to sacrifice the majority of your storage space to install it of course.
