The original PlayStation console was released all the way back in 1994 so it stands to reason there are likely thousands of games considered to be classics by gamers.
Ever since the revision of PlayStation Plus in 2022, Sony has brought back classic games from the PS1 and PSP generations for PS Plus Premium subscribers. Recently we’ve seen the likes of Resident Evil: Director’s Cut, Syphon Filter, Tekken 2, Killzone: Liberation, MediEvil Resurrection and more arrive to the service.

Well, if you want more classics coming to PlayStation, then you’re in luck, especially if you’re a fan of the Disney Pixar Toy Story series, you’ll soon seemingly be able to play three nostalgic gems games courtesy of PS Plus. Previously, the PS1 game Toy Story 2 dropped in 2022 which joined Toy Story 3 (PS3).

Furthermore, it’s also worth keeping in mind that when PS1 and PSP classics drop you can purchase them separately without a subscription. What’s more, if at any point you purchased a PS1 or PSP classic via the PS3 or PSP digital stores, they’ll also be downloadable at no extra cost once they arrive on PS5 and PS4. Happy days.
Now, it seems that the beloved PS1 game, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command is the next PlayStation Plus arrival, according to a rating on the Taiwan classification board as spotted by Gematsu. Based on an animated TV series, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command was also released for PC, Dreamcast and Game Boy Color.
What’s more, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command looks to be joined by two PSP games, Thrillville and its sequel, Thrillville: Off the Rails which were released in 2006 and 2007, respectively. At this time, this news hasn't been confirmed by Sony, but when a video game gets rated, it’s pretty much set in stone.
