PlayStation Plus subscribers can a little something extra for free tonight

PlayStation Plus subscribers are looking forward to a brand-new free RPG that's set to drop tonight, and it could very well be one of the best freebies we've had all year.

It's been a huge year for releases so far. The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom and Baldur's Gate 3 have both dominated, and we haven't even gotten to Starfield yet. One game that might slip under the radar that absolutely shouldn't is coming to PlayStation Plus (and Xbox Game Pass) tonight. I'd urge you to check it out.

Take a look at the stunning RPG in question below!

Sea Of Stars is a love letter to classic RPGs, so if you're looking to scratch that itch you could definitely do a lot worse than this gorgeous looking adventure. While the official release date for Sea Of Stars is 29 August, thanks to timezones some of you will be able to play it from this evening. It'll be dropping via PlayStation Plus Essential and Xbox Game Pass and no extra cost, so if you already subscribe you have no excuse.

"I can't wait for this one personally," one fan writes on the PlayStation Plus subreddit. "It should be releasing today as a part of PlayStation Plus. If you haven't seen it and you like JRPGs, DEFINITELY go and try it out."

In other PlayStation Plus news, it looks as if we're going to discover the free games for September earlier than planned thanks to the return of an old friend. We'll be on hand later today to let you know what the PlayStation Plus games for September are just as soon as they're announced, so be sure to stay tuned. And don't miss Sea Of Stars, whatever you do. 2023 is about to get another banger of a game.
