PlayStation Plus bonus November free game looks better than the main lineup

It's time to tear things down

I finally get to talk about Teardown and how brilliant it is. Teardown was announced for PlayStation Plus for November as the bonus game and, if we're being honest, it's much better than the rest of the lineup.

Sure, Mafia II is a perfectly fine crime caper, Aliens Fireteam Elite is Aliens so it gets a point for that, and Dragon Ball The Breakers is good, but only with friends. So, this means that Teardown is the best game coming to PlayStation Plus this month.

PlayStation Plus doesn't just feature a catalogue of games, but also cloud streaming

Teardown is a voxel-based physics simulator with a bunch of brilliant missions that urge you to cause as much destruction and chaos as possible. You might have to simply knock down a building, or perhaps you'll need to pull of a heist; whichever task you are set, the only way forward is through things.

This game appeared on a few Game of the Year lists in 2022 and for good reason. It's simple, addictive and ever so satisfying. The beauty of the game is that it runs astonishingly well, especially for a game that crumbles buildings and structures into thousands of tiny cubes.

If you missed the announcement, Teardown is also being supported with more content on its console release, so even if you've played before, now is the perfect time to return. It's not all demolishing and destroying, if you're a creative soul, you can build your own obstacles and environments to be destroyed using the in-game toolset.

The PlayStation 5 release features a campaign, challenges, a sandbox mode plus a whole host of mods showcasing the brilliance of the Teardown community. With fully realised physics for all elements, you'll never get bored of blowing things up, smashing them down or creating carnage.
