PlayStation Plus has kicked off the year by dropping a surprise bonus DLC pack.

If you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber, I’m imagining you’re relatively clued in on the latest games joining and leaving the service’s various tiers. Did you know though that, from time to time, you can also nab yourself free DLC?

Before we dive in, allow me to recap the month so far. PlayStation Plus’ January essential tier offerings are now available to download. Subscribers can enjoy A Plague Tale: Requiem, Evil West, and Nobody Saves The World. We should find out what’s joining the extra and premium tiers midway through the month. We do know 10 games are departing on 16 January, and those are: Back 4 Blood, Devil May Cry 5, Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, It Takes Two, Jett The Far Shore, The Missing J.J Macfield and the Island of Memories, Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae, Omno, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, and Snowrunner.

Take a look at A Plague Tale: Requiem in action below.

Today though, I’m here to tell you about how you can grab some Overwatch 2 DLC. The Overwatch 2 - Specimen Winston Bonus Pack is completely free to PlayStation Plus subscribers. All you need to do is head on over to the PlayStation Store, locate the pack and download it. It includes Specimen Winston and five Battle Pass tier skips. It’s certainly worth grabbing considering it’s free.

The pack is brand new, only becoming available yesterday, but these types of DLC drops happen throughout the year so do keep an eye on the PlayStation Store. For example, did you know you can also grab the Fortnite - Chilling Mystery Pack? This one dropped last month and includes the Subzero Cryptic Outfit, Cryptic Sling-kit Back Bling, and Cryptic Coaster-Glider.

Fall Guys fans can enjoy the Sackboy’s Adventure Pack. Subscription services aren’t getting any cheaper. You may as well take what you can get.
