It’s quite often that Reddit throws out a great recommendation for a game. One user took to the message boards to wax lyrical about Concrete Genie, a truly beautiful game that sees a young boy attempt to cleanse his hometown of filth by painting wonderful murals aided by magical genies.

The PlayStation exclusive is available to play via PlayStation Plus and comes with high praise by many. Over on Reddit, the original poster discussed how this was a change of pace for them as they usually played mature games and they “could not put it down for the past two evenings and also unlocked a very easy Platinum.”

I’ll remedy that.” Concrete Genie is a very laid-back game, one that won’t elevate the heart rate as this user says, “Excellent game, so relaxing.” From a variety of Redditors the game is called “beautiful”, “amazing” and “awesome”, and they’re not wrong. This game manages to tap into those feelings you got as a kid when creating art was joyful and spurred on by the world around you.
The visuals are, understandably, the most wonderful aspect here. The neon strands that make up the murals really wow and they come to life in ways you wouldn’t imagine, especially if played in VR. No matter how you play it, this one should be on everybody's list.
