PlayStation gamers are ‘sleeping on’ console exclusive Ghost of Tsushima - available on PlayStation Plus’ extra tier - according to some fans, and I may be part of the problem.
While I can’t say I’ve played every single PlayStation exclusive, I’d like to think that I’ve played the vast majority in recent years. For some reason however, Ghost of Tsushima always passed me by. That is until earlier this year. I completed the game a couple of months ago and it’s stunning. The combat is engaging and easy to pick up, the story is gripping, and the open-world is so very beautiful to look at. Why did it take me this long!? Thankfully, I’m not alone. It’s taken others a few years to stop overlooking this monumental game.

Reddit user tenaciousDaniel kicked off the conversation, writing, “Can’t believe I slept on Ghost of Tsushima. I didn’t buy it when it first came out, because the gameplay looked eerily similar to Assassins Creed, and I got the wrong impression. But man, it’s amazing. I’m just at the beginning of the game so far but it’s already clear that I was very very wrong. [...] If you’re like me and didn’t get a chance to experience it, I highly recommend it.”

LeFluffiestOfBunnies (incredible username) said, “One of the biggest crimes committed was the gameplay they showed when promoting this game, it made it look like an Assassin's Creed clome and I only picked it up because my friend raved about it. The story, voice acting, combat, world, music was stunning and I still have no idea how they managed to make that game load as fast as it did, really a stellar game.”

Loved using the flute to get the attention of enemies and then counter them at the last second,” while avggamer234 said, “I slept on it as well but have been playing it over the last two weeks and it's an amazing game.” Well, at least people are finally seeing the light with this one.
