Starfield is set to be the biggest Xbox console exclusive since Halo Infinite and as a result, it will not be playable on PlayStation, right?
Well, as it happens, Starfield is sorta playable on PlayStation, kinda. Okay, firstly, we cannot play Starfield directly on the PlayStation 5. Unless there are some magical gaming wizards, that won’t be happening, at least not legally, anyway.

However, Sony recently announced the pricing and specs of its new handheld device, the PlayStation Portal, previously known as Project Q. Unfortunately, the PlayStation Portal isn't a proper handheld console in the traditional sense such as the PS Vita or the Nintendo Switch Lite. The PlayStation Portal can only stream games from your PlayStation console as long as you have a stable Wi-Fi connection. This sucks with it not being a standalone handheld, especially when commanding an RRP of £199.99/$199.99.

Yet, there is a plus to the PlayStation Portal being a streaming device (though it’s a shame streaming isn't an additional feature), because as reported by Windows Central, it’s not restricted to just PS5, but it can also stream Xbox games, meaning that you’ll technically be able to play Starfield on a PlayStation device.
So if you’re a subscriber to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and plan on picking up the PlayStation Portal, it’s quite cool to think that you’ll be able to play Bethesda’s upcoming sci-fi RPG on Sony’s new shiny toy while taking advantage of some of the DualSense's features in the process.
That being said, if you want to play Starfield in the palm of your hands without coughing up £200, then the Turtle Beach Atom controller is a great alternative at a fraction of the cost.
