This isn’t like the mystery surrounding Gavin, but rather a hidden piece of audio that gives players a rare glimpse behind the scenes at Rockstar Games to see how actors record their lines.

A dataminer and YouTuber, Red Dead Redemption Stories, has unearthed a blooper while delving into the data mines of Red Dead Redemption 2. The clip in question allows players to hear, however momentarily, what it’s like to be on set recording the moments that have stayed with us all these years.

The blooper has been discovered during the scene where Lenny visits Arthur and Dutch to inform them that Micah has been arrested. Dutch, played by Benjamin Byron Davis, starts to explain why he can’t go, but that refusal to help turns into a funny blooper; “I cannot go to a sheriff's station – f*** me, sorry!” the actor laughs.
It’s such a subtle mistake in Davis’ lines, yet it’s wonderful to hear. We’ve spent so long living life alongside these characters whenever we return to RDR2, that to have such a candid insight into the development progress is such a gift.
Not that we’re surprised that the cast had fun while recording their lines – in March, Roger Clark and Rob Wiethoff, the actors behind Arthur Morgan and John Marston, crashed a university lesson. Humour evidently played a large part, and still does, for much of the cast when they reflect on their time with RDR2.
