Red Dead Redemption 2 player stunned by hidden feature we all missed

Red Dead Redemption 2 player stunned by hidden feature we all missed

How could we have missed this?

There are many mysteries to be found in Red Dead Redemption. Some take years and years to discover due to how ridiculously well hidden they are, and some are hidden in plain sight. This feature we’re here to discuss today falls into the latter category.

Unlike the time it takes to explore the wilderness in order to discover unusual NPCs lurking in Guarma, the feature surprising one player is right in front of them the whole time, they just needed to look hard enough.

In a new subreddit post, the OP shares a clip of Rockstar Games’ Arthur moving a dead body before cutting down some fish off a nearby fish drying rack. At first you might be confused, as I was, as to what shocked the OP so much – is it the body? Oh no, it’s the fish. Specifically that you can cut them down and add them to your pack. “Never in my whole time of playing Red Dead did I ever know this was an actual feature,” they revealed.

For those of us who’ve never witnessed this feature before, it’s nothing short of a revelation. However, for some long time Red Dead Redemption 2 players, this feature is old news. What is more, they offered up further revelations, as if we weren’t shook enough!

Should this hidden feature be added to our list of Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails?

“If there is an enemy inside the tent you can throw a knife or tomahawk through the tent and there will be a rip in the tent,” shared one fan. “Works on people on the other side of the tent – it will fly through both sides and hit them while leaving two holes through the cloth.”

This, alongside knowing we could have been stealing fish from racks all along, is enough for us to load up the game and see it in action for ourselves. And for anyone saying it’s silly we didn’t spot this sooner, there are other players who are also surprised the feature exists. “That’s crazy, I never even thought to try it,” admitted InDavyJonesLocker.
